Though, you won't be covered in case you were fired. Of course, insurance plans and amount of coverage may vary significantly.  

Typically, credit card protection is provided by major credit card issuers. You should study insurance plan carefully. If you have life and health insurance, home loan insurance and car insurance, most likely that you have the right amount of coverage, so why should you pay for the coverage you do not really need? Otherwise, credit card insurance may support you in hard times. Though, be careful, as credit card fraud is rather common, so take your time to study the policy's terms and conditions and then make an informed decision.
